Shoulda Turned Left Citrus Teriyaki Stir Fry Sauce

A sweet and tangy teriyaki with soy sauce, garlic and a hint of citrus for a flavor that's right on.

Stir fry sauce isn't just for stir frying. Here are a few other ideas we've picked up along the way:

Teriyaki Roasted Nuts

Toss almonds, cashews, peanuts or any assortment of nuts in a light coating of the Citrus Teriyaki Sauce. Add chili flakes if you want some serious heat. Spread out in a thin layer on a nonstick baking sheet. Roast in 350°F oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool and serve.

Grilled Meat Glaze

Marinate strips of chicken, beef, pork or seafood with the Citrus Teriyaki Sauce. Skewer meat, and then place on a well-oiled grill. Baste the grilled meat or seafood during the last few minutes of cooking to create a shiny glaze.

Teriyaki Fried Rice

On a heated skillet or stir fry pan, add some diced onions, carrots and chopped broccoli. Cook until the broccoli brightens, then add some cooked rice and the Citrus Teriyaki Sauce. Cook over high heat until the rice begins to sizzle and takes on a roasted soy flavor. Using day-old cold rice is best because it retains better texture. Break up the rice before adding to the pan.

Melt in Your Mouth Ribs

Heavily coat ribs with the Citrus Teriyaki Sauce and place in baking dish. Add about ½ inch of water and seal tight with foil. Bake in 350° F oven for about 2 hours or until very tender. Cool well, even overnight in the refrigerator, then cut into individual ribs. Preheat grill and cook ribs until brown and heated throughout. During the last few minutes, baste with more Citrus Teriyaki Sauce.
